After the death of a truck cleaner from Begambagh area of Aligarh metropolis in an accident near Jewar, the family members brought the body along. But late night the dead body was kept here on Ramghat Road and it was blocked. He was angry over the lack of hearing from the police level and was demanding compensation. Quarsi Inspector arrived, listened to them and got the jam cleared and it was agreed to go to Dankaur in the morning and file a case. Late at night the body was being removed from the road and taken home.
It is reported that 55-year-old Jitendra was the father of two children. He was a cleaner on a truck in the locality. Jitendra died in an accident late evening on 13 May. The police handed over the body to the family after post-mortem. The family brought the body here on the evening of 14 May. At first the dead body was kept at home. Late at night, without performing the last rites, the family members brought the body outside the SMV school and blocked it, demanding compensation. He said that neither the police listened to him nor the truck owner came to meet him nor was there any discussion on compensation. Within a short time, the traffic system there got disrupted due to the jam.
People also raised anti-police slogans. The Quarsi Inspector arrived and explained to the family, first got the traffic jam cleared and then asked them to file a complaint. Meanwhile during the conversation it was revealed that he had filed a complaint in Dankaur. After discussing this with Dankaur police, it was decided that the family would go to Dankaur in the morning. An immediate case will be registered there and further action will be taken. After this, an agreement will be reached on providing compensation etc. After this the family agreed and removed the body from the road and opened the jam.
